The outcome to aim for

Choose the correct layer before changing a number. There is no single universal “drop percentage” for the entire server.

Success check: Use repeated eligible kills or box openings and record counts. Ten kills cannot validate a 0.1% chance. Also check for overlapping rules.

Before you start

Read the complete procedure and its version notes. Record the affected server role and keep an untouched backup outside scanned data folders.

ScopeTeaching examples and recorded structures. Application and gameplay must be verified on your deployed version.

VISUAL WALKTHROUGH

One step at a time

  1. STEP 1

    MapManager ItemDrop is a multiplier percentage: 100 means normal, 200 means ×2, 1000 means ×10. It is not a 1000% per-kill promise.

  2. STEP 2

MapManager ExcDrop and SetDrop use one million units: 1000 = 0.1%, 100000 = 10%, 1000000 = 100%. These are equipment-quality rolls after other eligibility checks.

  3. STEP 3

ItemDrop.xml DropRate also uses one million units for each eligible rule. ApplyMapRate=1 scales it by that map’s ItemDrop/100; ApplyMapRate=0 leaves it unscaled. Multiple passing rules compete for a selected drop, so an individual rule’s pass chance is not a guaranteed final item frequency.

  4. STEP 4

Event item bag rows commonly use relative weights. A row with weight 100 among weights totaling 10000 represents 1% within that candidate selection, before the bag’s own outer rules.

  5. STEP 5

Common.ini account-tier drop settings, bonus events, monster eligibility and Crywolf jewel penalties can also affect the result. Measure one layer at a time.

Apply the real change

Use the load method stated in the steps for this system. Startup-only settings require a planned restart. The reload finder below shows recorded groups; confirm whether the particular field is startup-only.

Verify the result in game

Use repeated eligible kills or box openings and record counts. Ten kills cannot validate a 0.1% chance. Also check for overlapping rules.

If the expected result is missing, restore the backed-up files and repeat the same reload/restart before adding another change.
