Pentagrams, Errtels and elemental monsters
The Pentagram master switch, monster elemental switch and client export setting are connected. Changing one side alone can produce hidden UI or inactive bonuses.
The outcome to aim for
The Pentagram master switch, monster elemental switch and client export setting are connected. Changing one side alone can produce hidden UI or inactive bonuses.
Before you start
Read the complete procedure and its version notes. Record the affected server role and keep an untouched backup outside scanned data folders.
Files you need
One step at a time
- STEP 1
Set PentagramSystemEnable consistently in both Common.ini files and the active GetEngine.ini. ElementalMonsterEnable requires the master system to be enabled.
- STEP 2
Use the Pentagram option XML files for item options, jewel ranks and mastery data. Keep identifiers aligned with the item definitions and supported client resources.
- STEP 3
ErrtelForgeUpgradeEnable, material counts, Zen cost, rank success rates and DestroyOnFail define a separate upgrade service. Document the loss policy before opening it to players.
- STEP 4
For elemental monster behavior, update the monster’s ElementalMonster entry and its spawn Element assignment. Reload the appropriate groups or restart after coordinated switch changes.
- STEP 5
Regenerate ServerData.bmd with the owner’s own GetMain settings when client export changes, install it into the real client and test equipment removal, upgrade failure and elemental combat.
Progress is saved only in this browser. Completion is your learning record, not proof of a live server change.
Apply the real change
Use the load method stated in the steps for this system. Startup-only settings require a planned restart. The reload finder below shows recorded groups; confirm whether the particular field is startup-only.
Find the file’s reload instructions →Verify the result in game
If the expected result is missing, restore the backed-up files and repeat the same reload/restart before adding another change.
