The outcome to aim for

Markers describe existing world objects. A marker entry is not a spawn instruction, a gate or a shop registration.

Before you start

Read the complete procedure and its version notes. Record the affected server role and keep an untouched backup outside scanned data folders.

ScopeTeaching examples and recorded structures. Application and gameplay must be verified on your deployed version.

VISUAL WALKTHROUGH

One step at a time

  1. STEP 1

MiniMapMarkers Enable controls the marker layer. AutoNpc and AutoBots enable automatic categories; MaxPerMap limits the transmitted set.

  2. STEP 2

Add or edit Marker Class and Map. Map=-1 matches all maps; Enabled=0 hides that class/map marker. Category and Name affect presentation.

  3. STEP 3

ShowArea shows the spawn rectangle when supported. Boss identification also follows BossHealthBar/CustomMonster configuration.

  4. STEP 4

Apply /reload monster during maintenance and reopen the map interface. Test a static NPC, a living boss, a dead boss and a hidden marker. Client hot-spot artwork/configuration is a separate client-side layer.

Apply the real change

Use the load method stated in the steps for this system. Startup-only settings require a planned restart. The reload finder below shows recorded groups; confirm whether the particular field is startup-only.

Verify the result in game

If the expected result is missing, restore the backed-up files and repeat the same reload/restart before adding another change.
