Service bots, buff NPCs and exchange recipes
A service bot can provide crafting, exchange or buffs. Fake-online characters are a separate mechanism and may require existing database characters.
The outcome to aim for
A service bot can provide crafting, exchange or buffs. Fake-online characters are a separate mechanism and may require existing database characters.
Success check: Test non-VIP/VIP access, exact and insufficient materials, inventory full, failure, success and balance changes.
Before you start
Read the complete procedure and its version notes. Record the affected server role and keep an untouched backup outside scanned data folders.
Files you need
One step at a time
- STEP 1
BotTrader.xml: Enabled controls the system; NewBot has its own Enabled, identity, class, map and coordinates. Keep IndexBot and recipe MixIndex links consistent.
- STEP 2
Edit a full recipe: accepted materials, success rate, price and output. Check every related recipe section, including consumption and failure behavior.
- STEP 3
CustomNewBuff.xml connects NPC1 with Buffs1, NPC2 with Buffs2, and so on. Each skill row has ID, Time and Power; keep the local interpretation of Time rather than assuming seconds.
- STEP 4
PartySearch.txt sets its service NPC and relog behavior. Moving the setting does not necessarily replace an independently placed NPC; test the actual map interaction.
- STEP 5
AutoTrain.xml may contain real account or character identities. Keep those values private and use dedicated test characters. Use /reload bots for service bot tables and /reload custom for fake-online data as supported here.
Progress is saved only in this browser. Completion is your learning record, not proof of a live server change.
Apply the real change
Use the load method stated in the steps for this system. Startup-only settings require a planned restart. The reload finder below shows recorded groups; confirm whether the particular field is startup-only.
Find the file’s reload instructions →Verify the result in game
Test non-VIP/VIP access, exact and insufficient materials, inventory full, failure, success and balance changes.
If the expected result is missing, restore the backed-up files and repeat the same reload/restart before adding another change.
