Edit box, boss and event rewards
The manager connects an item, monster or special event value to a numbered reward bag. Editing a similarly named bag without checking this connection may change the wrong reward.
The outcome to aim for
The manager connects an item, monster or special event value to a numbered reward bag. Editing a similarly named bag without checking this connection may change the wrong reward.
Before you start
Read the complete procedure and its version notes. Record the affected server role and keep an untouched backup outside scanned data folders.
Files you need
One step at a time
- STEP 1
Locate the trigger in EventItemBagManager.txt. For example, bag 32 is associated with monster class 275 (Kundun), while bag 0 is associated with item ID 7179 at level 0.
- STEP 2
Open the file with the same three-digit prefix under EventItemBag. Preserve section 0 and its outer reward controls, then inspect section 1 item candidates.
- STEP 3
In section 1 keep all ten numeric columns: Section, Type, MinLv, MaxLv, Skill, Luck, Option, Excellent, SetOpt and DropRate. Section 2 has an additional Socket field; do not mix the two row layouts.
- STEP 4
To make one reward rare, adjust its weight against the total eligible weight, not against 100 by assumption. Check whether extended sections in that particular bag add other reward paths.
- STEP 5
Apply with /reload eventitembag. Open the actual trigger box or defeat the actual boss. Test item quantity, level, options and delivery, not only whether something drops.
Progress is saved only in this browser. Completion is your learning record, not proof of a live server change.
Configuration example
Keep the existing root/sections and unrelated rows. This example is not a complete original or a full replacement file.
// Demonstration for section 1: Bless has weight 99, Soul has weight 1.
1
//Section Type MinLv MaxLv Skill Luck Option Excellent SetOpt DropRate
14 13 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 99
14 14 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1
endApply the real change
Use the load method stated in the steps for this system. Startup-only settings require a planned restart. The reload finder below shows recorded groups; confirm whether the particular field is startup-only.
Find the file’s reload instructions →Verify the result in game
If the expected result is missing, restore the backed-up files and repeat the same reload/restart before adding another change.
Dependencies & important details
The example describes selection within this two-row pool; it does not replace section 0 or promise a 1% chance per kill. Files named Copy are not a safe way to select a new bag; keep one intended file per numeric prefix.
